NewWood’s goal is to be at the forefront of the sustainable building revolution because in a world with a growing population and finite resources, businesses and consumers need to use their resources more wisely to survive in a global economy and a more crowded planet. While we use urban wood waste as one component ingredient at our plant in Elma, WA, our technology is highly adaptable to other waste stream materials. Our goal is to bring NewWood’s technology to countries around the world, diverting locally found waste into sustainable building materials.
NewWood’s other great resource is our team. We are committed to live our own values by producing our building materials with a minimal environmental impact and managing our own waste and emissions responsibly.

Cedar Grove Composting and Emerald Services NW are a family-owned, 400-employee enterprise with roots in the waste management business going back to 1938. As the Pacific Northwest’s leading organic recycling company, Cedar Grove transforms grass, leaves, yard trimmings, food waste and wood waste into the finest nutrient-rich compost. From a humble beginning, Cedar Grove has developed a full line of healthy soils with a loyal following and has grown to become the largest single dedicated yard waste composting facility in the United States.
Emerald Services is Washington’s leading one-stop recycling and environmental services provider for manufacturers, transportation-related companies, the military, ship builders, and more. We continue to introduce innovative technologies for a greener tomorrow. Our mission is to create a sustainable business to re-use or re-manufacture the products we collect.

Have you ever wanted to cook Indian food but were too intimidated by the long list of spices to try? Or were you put off by having to buy bags of spices when you only needed a couple of teaspoons?
At Veena’s Market, we’re all about bringing exotic variety to your home cooking and making it easy to cook authentic, fresh and
healthy Indian food. We buy fresh, whole spices and hand craft each blend in small quantities. Once the blends are made, we package them right away to keep them as fresh as possible. Roughly 85% of our spices are organic and we continue to search for fair trade sources for all our spices.
Ethical sourcing is also very important to us. True Basmati rice can only be grown in the foothills of the Himalayas. We support the livelihoods of Himalayan rice farmers by buying certified Basmati rice.
We love the magic that happens when families and friends get together to cook and eat. Enjoy!
